Sunny California
This is pretty much a 90% done deal, but just to let everyone know - I'm moving to California.
I took up a new project with my principal in LA. When your principal offers you a position to help start up a new project, you don't decline! After I finish my master's in May, I'll probably have a few weeks to chill before I head out in June. The office location is near LAX, so it's likely I'll be living on a beach somewhere. Long Beach? Huntington Beach?
Honestly, this move was a long time coming. NoVA has become too stuffy - everybody has dated everyone's friends plus 3 degrees, and it's nearly impossible to meet anybody "new" (guy or girl) whom isn't somehow already part of your ever growing bubble. I've depicted this "growing bubble" phenomenon below:

This process can be applied for any new friends you might make. For example, if you make a new guy friend, he might turn out to be your other girl friend's ex, or he might be your guy friend's ex-girlfriend's current boyfriend. Anyway, it's basically a clusterfuck.
The move should be a fresh start on both a social and personal level. I think what my mom said one day really woke me up. She said, and I quote: "you should just live at home till you get married!" While it seems sweet and all, the idea was actually somewhat repulsive. If I really were to do that, then I would NEVER get married.
I'm excited already. And a new chapter of my life will soon begin.
